Talk the Talk and Walk the Walk

Thoughts for the Week Ahead

Many Christians are willing to talk about their faith and about the Lord. Unfortunately, not all of those are obediently translating their faith into the actions and conduct commanded by the Lord. The number of those talking the talk includes some not walking the walk. Said another way, the “hearers only” of God’s Word are not the same as the faithful doers of that same Word. This is not pleasing to God, and He deals with this issue extensively in the Scriptures. May the Lord lead each of us into a heartfelt self-examination this week.

so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

Galatians 5:25 [NIV]

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 [NIV]

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

Romans 6:4 [NIV]

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Ephesians 4:1 [NIV]

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

Ephesians 5:8 [NIV]

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light

Have a Blessed Week as You Walk in Faith
