You’re welcome to come along for an easy Sunday afternoon walk and talk. A fairly flat 2.6 mile round trip trail along the wooded Agua Hedionda Creek. Optional big hill to walk up. Dogs on leash is ok and places for dog swims too. Time on walk ~1.5 hr. Meet at far end of pond. The “duck pond” has many ducks, geese, and turtles to see. Bathroom is available at parking lot. A fun option after the walk is to bring a little bread or bird seed to feed the birds.

Car parking by the pond, or if the lot is full, park along Shadowridge Dr and walk over.

DIRECTIONS: From Vista/Oceanside area:  Hwy 78, exit onto South Melrose down to Shadowridge Dr westbound, then ~0.3 miles to Antigua Dr The Park entrance is at the stop light.

From Escondido area:  Hwy 78 exit at Sycamore Ave. southbound.  Go 0.3 miles to Shadowridge Dr. westbound and follow it across S. Melrose Dr Another 0.3 miles to Antigua Dr stop lights is Park entrance.

From southern areas: Go north on El Camino Real or Melrose Dr.  Either at or from Palomar Airport Rd, get on northbound S. Melrose Dr and follow up to westbound Shadowridge Dr, left, down to the Park at Antigua Dr.
