If you’re not a big hiker then come out for this easy afternoon walkabout around Lake Guajome park, just northwest of North Coast Church. This is a good time to meet others and walk and talk and excerise.
Route is about 3-3.5 miles loop in about 1.5-2 hours and fairly flat dirt road/paths with one short steep hill, going around the park and the two lakes. Dogs on leash are okay. There are restrooms at the camp we pass by.
Directions: Take Hwy 76, east or west, to Guajome Lake Rd intersection, go south towards Guajome Regional Park. Drive 0.3 miles, past the park entrance, to the housing area and you’ll see the open area on your right with a rail fence and trailhead kiosk. Park either side along the road there or in the neighborhood streets. Meet at kiosk structure.
