If you want to try something different come out for a time on the water.

Planning on 2 hour time for rentals. That’s the typical time length.

At the Carlsbad lagoon outfitters they rent paddleboards, 1 or 2 seat Kayaks, and other watercraft. The parking area there is free.

If you have your own non-powered watercraft you can use the public beach access for free at the east end of the lagoon on Bayshore Drive. Free swimming isn’t allowed in the lagoon.

Typically, two hours of paddling around is the most popular rental time and is enough.

The rental rates are as follows and all come with lifevests if wanted:

Paddleboards; 1 Hr = $30, 2 Hr = $50. (Requires balance but you can sit on it instead like a kayak).

1 seat Kayak; 1 Hr = $25, 2 Hr = $45.   2 seat Kayak; 1 Hr = $35, 2 Hr = $60.

Pedalboats like the Swan (4 person) are $65 to $115 or the AquaCycle (2 seat) is $35 and $60.
