DESCRIPTION:Hike Torrey Pines Park & Beach\n9:30 AM, Saturday, September 19 2026\nMeet at Callan Rd. & N. Torrey Pines Pl., La Jolla\nGPS: 32.9046, -117.2421\nIf you haven’t been there in a while, then come join us and hike through Torrey Pines Park trails and down along  the beach and Flat Rock and slow walk along the beach and cliffs then back up through the park trails. If our group wishes we may stop in the Visitor Center and/or take in a short film.\nFree parking then walk into the park .8 miles. There is alot of walking and the total hike length, if done, is about 6 miles with breaks for sightseeing. We can shorten the walk as needed.  Plan on 4-5 hours.\nPorta-potties are in the park.\nBring: Good walking shoes that can get dusty, a sun hat, sunscreen, drink and pocket snack. Dogs are not allowed.\nMeet:  At Callan Road & N. Torrey Pines Place corner. (Across the road from the golf course, The Lodge.)\nPark cars near the corner intersection or along Callan Rd. Free. Then we will walk to the park.\nDirections:  1) Hwy 5 southbound, exit on Genesee Ave westbound (right). Follow Genesee straight through which becomes N. Torrey Pines Rd. Get in the right lane (of three), pass by Science Park Rd. and the right lane will exit onto Callan Rd. (right) and you will quickly pass by N. Torrey Pines Pl. and look for parking spots on left or right side (no u-turn there), or go down Callan a little and u-turn where ever safely and come back to park.\nOR,  2) At Hwy 5 southbound & Hwy 56 junction, exit onto Carmel Valley Rd. westbound (right). Follow to the end stop light and turn left (south) onto N. Torrey Pines Rd. going past the beach and uphill. Pass by two stop lights then exit right where the road sign says “Torrey Pines Golf Course”. Then go left, under the bridge which is Callan Rd. and to N.
