DESCRIPTION:Hike in Copper Creek Falls and Denk Mtn Peak (SnMrcs)\nSaturday, 9:30 AM, May 17, 2025\nMeet at new trailhead: GPS 33.09534, -117.20974\n2680 Fallsview Rd & San Elijo Rd. At Fallsview Park\nCome for a two-part morning hike at Copper Creek Falls canyon and a longer addition up Denk Mtn peak.\nTwo parts to hike;  1) The shorter hike, total 3.5 miles, fairly flat, is down Copper Creek and back.\nAnd 2) The longer hike, a moderate effort hike, total 5.3 miles, with one long hill up. We continue along the back area of Denk mtn and head up to the peak (500 ft up) via the trail rewarded with a good view of the coastal area. Then head back to parking area.\nNO DOGS are allowed in Copper Creek trails. Sorry, leave the dog at home. No portopoties available.\nDirections: The parking at Edenpark has been packed full in past meets so we can park in another nearby area.\nFallsview Rd is only accessible while heading east on San Elijo Rd 0.8 miles from Melrose intersection. \n1) Going southbound on either S. Melrose or S. Rancho Santa Fe, exit onto San Elijo eastwards and 0.8 mile on the right is Fallsview Rd with the small park. Park along the street west side only.\n2) From Escondido area; Exit at Twin Oaks Rd and head south, uphill, which will become San Elijo Rd., downhill. Go through the San Elijo town area all the way to Melrose/Dovetrail Rd intersection for a U-turn to come back east on San Elijo Rd to Fallsview Rd and small park.
